Hudson Chronicles is a barbershop quartet from New York City and New Jersey, formed in Spring of 2009. About Hudson Chronicles from the Perspective of the Tenor (Ritchie Lavene)… First of all, where did the name Hudson Chronicles come from? Well, our quartet is made up of “Interstate Rivals”, two of us are from New Jersey, while the other two hail from New York City, so every rehearsal involves crossing the Hudson! Secondly, when formed we decided it was our “Mission” to do our best to share stories with the audience, and hopefully take them on a musical journey that evokes emotion and hopefully joy, hence the “Chronicles”. So, about the guys… Mark Paul (Bass) – Mark’s warm voice and gentle presence is such a joy to be around. His commitment to the audience and his striving to provide for them every opportunity to “feel” is awe inspiring and a thrill to share the stage with! Adam Porter (Bari) – Cares so much about the music and meticulously hones every arrangement we sing hoping for more impact, joy or emotion to our audiences. He’s a true artist and his love for the music and those around him is evident in everything he does. Neil Dingle (Lead) – Is just the greatest guy in the world to be around. He’s so ridiculously fun to be with and is bigger than life in every way. His passion revolves around creating environments where everyone experiences as much of life as possible. It is hard not to get swept up whenever he is around. And me (Tenor)….I carry the luggage! |
